Hyder has worked in clinical research for the last seven years, and brings with him a wealth of experience from NHS, academia and life sciences environments.
In his role as Project Manager he will be working on medical Ttechnology research trials, helping to ensure that researcher; medical technology companies, SMEs, National and International Companies, are able to deliver high quality research in the NHS. Hyder will have management responsibilities for Medical Technology studies and providing support to research teams in relation to research governance responsibilities.
In association with the research teams, Hyder will actively manage project activities, ensuring identified milestones and recruitment targets are met as well as preparing detailed study timelines and continuously monitoring projects, with a clear understanding of any impact on the critical path.
A key part of the role will be identifying mechanisms for the early identification of potential issues in meeting milestones and development of potential solutions, including revisions to financial flows, along with the Chief Investigator and other teams.
Hyder will work closely with Claire Graham, Research Operations Manager for MedConnect North ensuring MedConnect North works collaboratively with Research and Development Teams.
Hyder said: “I’m now a month into the role and am thoroughly enjoying it. I was looking for a new challenge and that is was attracted me to the role – it’s certainly living up to expectations so far.
“I find MedTech fascinating and am looking forward to taking some great ideas forward in the coming months.”
